This ACFL blog is a personal chronicle of exploration in the Anacortes Community Forest Lands, documenting both the beauty of the present and the transformations that have occurred over time. Since January 2023, I've hiked over a hundred miles through beautiful forests, wetlands, and hills in the ACFL. Along the way, I have captured stunning landscapes, colorful plants, and fascinating wildlife through my photography! The blog shares each hike and discovery, offering insight into the rich biodiversity and seasonal shifts.
Beyond sharing experiences, this blog serves as a record of change, tracking how the land evolves throughout the seasons and years. Observing shifts in vegetation, wildlife activity, and environmental conditions helps paint a picture of the dynamic nature of these forest lands.
Updates are in progress to capture the essence of these journeys and the transformations that have unfolded in the Anacortes Community Forest Lands (ACFL).
I would be thrilled to have you join this exciting adventure — follow along on my blog for the journey!
Thank you all for your dedication and for helping to protect this cherished place.
“Wait For It” has the potential to capture some magical moments in time. The “wait for it” could be ten minutes or ten hours. Often, when I am out looking for wildlife, I will find a subject and sit using the “wait for it”. I have photographed many special moments with nature that would not have been possible without a lot of patience.
